When the news broke out of Brent Tarrant’s rampage and killing 49 worshippers at a Christchurch Mosque the initial response was a mixture of grief and disbelief. A white person carrying out the act of terrorism and what was even more bizarre was the location of this incident – New Zealand, perceived to be one of the most safest countries and geographically so isolated that most people would even struggle to describe where it is on the world map.

Quickly though that opinion started shifting. Muslims started demanding the incident to be called “an act of terrorism” as they said we always call it Terrorism when someone with a Muslims background (whether as a lone wolf or as an organised group) does something similar. But what was the most puzzling part of this incident was that not only a few westerners but also some Indian groups started to see this as an act purely and specifically related to something against Muslims only. Another misunderstanding was also propagated by some of the Liberal Sections within Muslims Societies who suggested that this attack was in response to the recent terrorist activities performed by various Muslim groups – hence the Muslims need to be held responsible for this even if the majority of Muslims may not be part of such terrorism so the best explanation was that Muslims are paying the price of actions of what these Islamists have done lately.
It is too simplistic to see the recent act of Christchurch Attack as Anti Muslim, the overall umbrella ideology works against Black people, Catholics, Homosexuals, Jews (Anti Semite Ideology) as well as anyone who doesn’t fit in their Pseudo Scientifically driven Racist world view.
All these confusing and often conflicting opinions were due to the reason most people don’t know enough about White Supremacist Ideology and how this umbrella ideology thrives on White Nationalist and Anti Immigration in today’s world. Most people did not read Brent’s 73 pages manifesto and did not understand what he stood for, they just looked at the superficial appearance of his act being solely against Muslims and some called it inspired by the Islamophobia while others called it the reaction to recent Terrorist activities by Muslims Extremists.

In reality, the White Supremacy is an ideology inherits its ideological drive from Nordicism (itself driven by Master Race Ideology), by the early 20th century the concept of a “masterly” Nordic race had become familiar enough that the British psychologist William McDougall, writing in 1920, stated:
Among all the disputes and uncertainties of the ethnographers about the races of Europe, one fact stands out clearly—namely, that we can distinguish a race of northerly distribution and origin, characterised physically by fair colour of hair and skin and eyes, by tall stature and dolichocephaly (i.e. long shape of head), and mentally by great independence of character, individual initiative and tenacity of will. Many names have been used to denote this type, … . It is also called the Nordic type.
The Ku Klux Klan or commonly known as KKK, an American White Supremacist group for example rose to its glory during the early 20th century phase when their membership for second clan was as high as 6 millions, today it stands to 8000 as official figures but that does not include the unidentified supporters (such as Brent himself) or the sleeping cells. The typical arguments used by KKK members or even sympathisers are:
- White people are at the risk of experiencing extinction
- Widespread Immigration is driving White people out of the due power they deserve
- White People built this wealth (as we experience in today’s world) and immigrants are robing it now
- White Liberals are people without backbone, they have sold their souls to the ideology of Liberalism
- Humans are not created equally
- Segregation is the only solution
The White Supremacy thrives on Scientific Racism, a belief that certain humans are genetically superior to the others. The basic reason why the KKK started or at least became familiar to the outside world for burning, lynching and torturing African Americans during the period between first and second world war. Another misunderstanding is to look at the White Supremacy as the Christian Ideology, it actually isn’t since not all supremacist groups are Christians. In America, these groups are primarily Christians but in Europe most of these groups are actually Pagans.
